EB-5 provides alternative to traditional sources of funds for development

MICHIGAN CITY – The Northwest Indiana Forum, Economic Development Corporation Michigan City (EDCMC), BMG Capital group invite business and government leaders to attend an EB-5 Investment Seminar on April 1 and Blue Chip Casino. Registration begins at 7:30 a.m. and the presentation will run from 8 to 9:30 a.m. at the Sun Coast Room at Blue Chip Casino and Hotel.

The EB-5 visa provides a method of obtaining a green card for foreign nationals who invest money in the United States and create jobs. EB-5 capital is a unique alternative to traditional sources of funds. As credit markets have tightened in the wake of the financial crisis, more and more American businesses and developers have turned toward EB-5 funds to raise the required capital for their projects. The program will answer questions such as:

  • What is the EB-5 program?
  • How does the EB-5 program work?
  • How can the EB-5 program benefit your community
  • Learn how to get access to overseas investors
  • Understand the requirements of EB-5 funding
  • Hear from professionals with EB-5 experience

BMG Capital has worked on many EB-5 projects that include a variety of industries including medical, hospitality and entertainment. Recent projects include an automobile dealership, an ATV cycle shop, multiple family centers, a hotel and a craft brewery. These projects have taken place in Illinois, Indiana and Ohio.
